At the local GOP headquarters, in a strip mall in northeast Portland, anarchist graffiti appeared on the building’s side. And several months before the June rally, Portland’s annual Roses Parade was canceled after organizers received threatening emails over the inclusion of a Republican Party float; disruptions had also been planned by self-described anti-fascists.
