Green Day played a secret benefit show last night at 924 Gilman, a volunteer-run Berkeley punk venue where the band got their start. Performing early hits like “Basket Case” and “She” (both of which appear on 1994’s Dookie, one of the 300 Best Albums of the Past 30 Years), the band was raising money for AK Press, an anarchist publishing company which recently suffered a warehouse fire.
