Writing for the New Statesman in 2014, Bryan Appleyard saw “Luddism in practice and in theory” as “back on the streets”, tracing a lineage from the American anarchist Ted Kaczynski, known as the Unabomber, to the hands of the Parisian taxi drivers who vandalized Uber vehicles.
